Weather fronts
weather fronts include:
Cold Front
Warm Front
Stationary Front
Occluded Front
Cold front: A cold front happens when a fast moving cold air mass runs into a slow warm air mass. Then the warm air rises above the cold air. As it rises it cools causing clouds to form. Then if there was any water in it it would precipitate. And since strong wind is usually accompanied with cold air masses then you have a storm.
Warm front:A warm front happens when a fast moving warm air mass runs into a slow cold air mass. Then the warm air rises above the cold air. As it rises it cools causing clouds to form just like in a cold front. And since strong wind is usually accompanied with cold air masses then you have a storm.
Stationary Front : A stationary front happens when two slow moving cold and warm air masses meet and neither has the force to push the other. This can cause storms for days at a time.
Occluded Front: A Occluded Front is the most complicated fronts. It happens when a warm air mass is stuck in between two cold air masses. The warm air is pushed of the ground causing cold weather and snow.

Acid rain

Acid rain is made when coal with lots of sulfur oxide is burned. Then the sulfur oxide goes into the air and mixes with nitrogen oxide and water vapor to create acid rain! The issue is that the acid rain can damage statues and buildings and make ponds and lakes uninhabitable. It can also kill trees. What we can do is burn less fossil fuels and use Eco-friendly fuel sources!

Earths atmosphere
Earth is very special compared to other planets because of its atmosphere. Earths atmosphere is compromised of several different layers covering the earth in a protective blanket. One of these layers is the ozone layer. The ozone layer protects the people and animals of earth from harmful ultraviolet light produced by the sun. The earths atmospheric pressure witch creates high and low pressure systems. This allows for weather and thus less extreme temperatures like on other planets. The other substances in the atmosphere consist of 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, and 1% other gases.

summerize
The science of rockets - NASA uses a rocket system called "atlas" that has three stages. These stages are called "atlas", "centaur" ant the last stage in witch centaur burns up.
The space program- The Nation Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) was begun in 1958. It has had several missions including Apollo 13.
Exploring space today- The international space station is part of exploring space today. to help the people on it NASA have built a robot called "personal satellite assistant".
Using space science science on earth- The NASA program is very good for the economy. Yet they only get 1% of the united states budget money.

Earth seasons are caused because of earths tilt on its axis and it position to the sun. When the earth is at a certain point in its orbit its tilted a certain way. That certain tilt makes it so more or less direct sunlight hits the earth. When more direct sunlight hits the earths northern hemisphere it is summer in the northern hemisphere. When more direct sunlight hits the southern hemisphere the southern hemisphere gets summer. That is the reason for earths seasons!

Persective
Zoom by Istvan Banyai was a very interesting book. It started as a very close up view of a roosters crown but eventually zoomed into space. I thought for sure the first picture was a dinosaurs foot. It taught me that even though you may think something is one thing it turns out to be another. That is basically what perspective is all about.
An example of perspective : one day my friend hit me in the face. I immediately thought he did it to be mean. After asking why he hit me he told me there was a fly. That one little detail widened my perspective. Perspectives can change just like that.
In the field of science perspective is not just a term it can also be different studies. Astronomers use far away perspectives. While doctors may need a microscope to see what there studying. As astronomers we need perspective to even imagine just one solar system let alone the galaxy. In astronomy perspective is huge.

The enigma box
The five skills of a good scientist are important. I had to use 4 of the five skills were important to this observation.I had to use my senses i had to predicted make a model. And finally had to infer. They came in handy.
The enigma box is a mystery to me. There are two holes, the big one on the top and the small one on the top. A tube was jutting out of the bottom. The experiment is, a person pours water in the top. No water comes out of it till250 ml.when it started dripping. Then at 400 ml. it started pouring.
I believe that inside the enigma box is a container on a point. When the water gets full enough it tips the container spilling the water. Were then the water goes into a funnel that leads into the tube. Like at water world with a huge cup that tips on the people. Just without the funnel.
My prediction was wrong. In the enigma box was one single tube when the tube filled up the air pressure kept it going. Until it filled up only a few drips of water came out. The enigma box was really based on air pressure. That is my observation.
